Incorporating Climate Literacy into the Higher ED Classroom: a Weeklong CTE Asynchronous Workshop: Day 3

Facilitated by Bethany Kaser

Welcome back to Day 3 of the Incorporating Climate Literacy into the Higher ED Classroom Asynchronous Workshop! Yesterday’s material guided you through potential challenges you could face when working to incorporate climate literacy and possible solutions for combatting those challenges. Today, we’ll begin to explore available resources (many of which are free!) that can help instructors in any discipline incorporate climate literacy into the curriculum.

During today’s session, you’ll explore sources like the InTeGrate Website, the Climate Solutions 101 Video Series, ESRI Storymaps, the FEMA Toolkit, Cleanet.org, and the Living Landscapes Toolkit.

You’ll consider best practices, like showing why the content is relevant and tying the content to the students’ own lives, engaging your students, empowering them, and helping them focus on the solutions–not just the problems.

Access all of the Day 3 Materials, or, head directly to the Day 3 Guide, the Day 3 Slides, or the Day 3 Slides with Voiceover. Finally, record your participation.

Enjoy and check back in on Wednesday for Day 4!
